The best part is, it doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming.

Exercise is important in all phases of life, but for seniors, it’s critical to maintaining independence, among other benefits. When it comes to determining the best exercises, variety is the spice of life. Adults of all ages - especially seniors - should focus on a combination of strength and mobility exercises, as well as balance exercises and aerobic activity. The best exercises are the ones they want to do and will do consistently. Exercise is definitely more enjoyable with friends. Participating in a group setting also provides an added layer of safety and supervision during classes, plus the social connection and motivation you need to stick with it.

Yoga

Vin Yin Yoga, a powerful pairing of Vinyasa & Yin Yoga. The dynamic yang style of Vinyasa helps strengthen and invigorate the body and mind. The Yin style of long-held passive poses opens the body to more flexibility and energy flow while also encouraging a more contemplative non-reactive quality of mind. Are you curious? Great! That’s a big part of yoga!

Animal Flow is ground based movement, made fun, challenging and effective. This system is designed to improve strength, power, flexibility, mobility, and coordination for all levels of fitness enthusiasts.

TeenFIT
Mon & Fri 4:00 PM
With school, study and a social life (not to mention social media) all competing for their precious time, there can be a drop in activity when kids hit their teens.
We want to help young people develop a life-long love of exercise.
Group Fitness Classes

Strength - mix of free weights, barbells and body weight scaled to suit
Cardio & Core - challenging mix of intense, dynamic core-stabilising exercises and cardiovascular endurance to get the blood flowing and heart rate elevated
Heart Rate - tabata, HIIT or peak 8 format - max effort and rest periods timed
MobilityFIT - specialised stretches, exercises and movement patterns for spine, shoulders, wrists, hips, knees and ankles (training course - 5 weeks)
Lower Body & Core - push, pull, squat, bend, twist and balance with minimal equipment
Fit - strength, resistance & functional movement full body workout
Body Weight - challenge your entire body plus build core endurance - body weight/minimial equipment
Hybrid - any combination of the above
